During this beta testing phase of nano.org, we would like to thank our users for contributing to the site by giving away iPod nanos.
Each comment or paper posted on the website will earn a 1% chance to win a 4GB iPod nano. For example, uploading 5 of your nanotechnology-related papers to the site earns you a 1 in twenty chance to win an iPod. Posting someone else's paper on the site and a comment on it earns a 2% chance. Note that simply initiating a thread about an article not on nano.org without a comment or question, is not eligible for a reward under this offer.
Content created by nano.org users during the beta phase (including all discussions, uploaded papers, etc.) will persist into the final version of the site. Codes attributed to uploaded manuscripts will also persist, so that they can immediately be used as citations. Thus, beta testers can feel justified in investing significant time into contributing to the site, just as they would if the site had reached its final, public version.
For further information about this offer, email enquiries@nano.org.
Terms and conditions:
The nano.org operators reserve the right to terminate the promotion at any time, and to discount a user's contribution from the offer for any reason, for example if it is deemed inappropriate or not in the spirit of the nano.org site. Contributions to the following sections are ineligible for a reward under this promotion: Bug Reports, Feature Requests.
Notification procedure:
For every 100 eligible contributions, a winner is selected at random, weighted by their number of contributions in that period. Winners will be notified by email, and post regarding the event will be made in the "beta test" thread under General. Those who do not win will not receive a notification of any kind.
